Lauren Vande Zande

Sergt. Lauren Vande Zande, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry T. Vande Zande of Route 2, Waupun, is now stationed at Camp Davis, N.C. Sergt. Vande Zande entered the service on Nov. 5, 1942, and was first stationed at Camp Wallace, Texas. Early in 1943 he was promoted to the rank of corporal and was transferred to Camp Davis where he attended radio school, graduating in April, 1943. After his graduation he spent a 15 day furlough with his parents reporting at Fort Bliss, Texas, on his return. He was transferred back to Camp Davis in July, and was promoted to the rank of sergeant several months ago. — Elster Studio photo.
